Summer Study
Time for Parables in the Park… but wait… we’re not studying Parables and we’re not meeting in the park, time for a new name! Let’s try Scripture Alfresco (in the open air). We are going to be using the book by Adam Hamilton, The Call: The Life and Message of the Apostle Paul. This study is by the same author as the study on Peter that we used for our Lenten Luncheon study. We are going to meet behind Allnut Funeral Home in their garden area. If they are using their space for anything then we will meet in a spot at the front of the church. We’ll meet at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesdays beginning June 12th. Bring your sack or picnic dinner and we’ll start with nourishment and fellowship and then move into study. Please contact the church office if you’d like a book, they are helpful but not required and cost is $12.68. Looking forward to spending another summer together studying scripture in the open air!
FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH AT A GLANCE
Here at First Christian Church, we are driven by a single goal:
to know, show and grow the love of God. We rely on and follow the
Holy Spirit, Christ and the Creator. And we provide spiritual support
with kindness because being human can be hard!

Sunday
10:00am
Worship Service
Welcome to First Christian Church of Loveland, Colorado. Service begins
at
10:00am, leaving the rest of the day free for relaxation and fun
with your friends and family. Everyone is welcome, and no one should worry
about those hidden parts of your life that aren't so pretty. Why? We all
have them! Leave them at the door or bring them in, and let God refresh your
soul.
Our faith is based on the Bible. Don't worry! Bible-based doesn't mean
"beat me up." When you hear a sermon, rest assured it will be a grace-filled
one, dealing with today's realities while referencing scripture for guidance.
Our Lord gave us Communion, which comes from the same word as
community.
The sharing of the table is central in our tradition, so we include
it in worship each Sunday. We also believe Christ is the host at the table,
so everyone is welcome.
We would like to get to know you so consider arriving a little early to
enjoy some coffee, donuts and conversation.
Our worship is an interactive style where both clergy and lay people take
part in the service. Women and men of all ages contribute their God-given
talents in speaking, reading scripture, making music, serving communion,
and with technical support.
Music is ever changing and we enjoy adding new styles to complement
traditional
hymns. Newer sacred songs and even some non-religious music can be heard
on Sundays. We like to stretch our styles and include folk, classical,
jazz, light rock, country, bluegrass and even some original compositions!
We have excellent musicians on our music team. Each week our choir sings
and at Easter and Christmas they bless us with a cantata. And, traditional
bell ringers perform a few times each year.
Come join us to rest, heal and rejoice!
Children's Church
Every Sunday our children enjoy their Sunday School lessons and fun projects, then they enter the sanctuary in time to experience Communion and the closing activities.
We believe this helps the children have fun with Christ while coming to understand what church is all about.
Bring your children to the education wing at 9:50-
10:00am and pick them up in the sanctuary or Sunday School classroom after church.
See you soon!
